Allsate's Mayhem commercials are known for blending humor with a message. In the ad "Mayhem bear", the company uses humor and exaggeration to highlight the unexpected aituations we may face in life. The ad shows a guy wreaking havoc in a car similar to what a bear would do, repersenting that chaos can occur when you least expect it.
Their purpose is not just to sell insurance, they want to highlight to their audience how unpredictable life can be and how important it is to be protected and stay one step ahead. The humor comes from the exaggertated depiction as well as the bear impersonation throughout the ad. The ad appeals to drivers, especially those who may not think about the risks their car faces when parked in 'safe' spaces. Their message stands clear: you need to be preapred for "mayhem" in all forms. The exaggerations and humour make this ad memorable and show how Allstate is there to protect you from unexpected chaos and encourages its audience to consider being insured.

Entry #3: Frostbite

A crave of coolness overwhelms me and I reach for the tin lying in my bag. The small metal tin had opened with a loud snap. As I pry it back, a crisp, pleasant scent hit my face. In the tin lies a cluster of small, white circles. The fresh air surrounds me calling me to give in. I reach and grab one white circle and pop it into my mouth. Immediatly, a sharp, icy coolness rushes over my tongue. Almost like stepping into a cold shower, or going outside on crisp winter morning without a jacket.Its smooth surface rolling from cheek to cheek as it sits there dissolving slowly. I push it against the roof of my mouth,feeling the firm shape soften slightly. The urge to bite down grows stronger, my patience gets the best of me and I bite down. There's a loud, satisfying crunch. A rush of even stronger frost overwhelms my mouth. Similar to a gust of heavy wind biting at your face. Entry # 4: The Mystery of Our Ocean

The ocean remains one of the biggest mysteries today. It covers a large portion of our planet, yet scientists have only explored about 5%. It's terrifying to think that most of what's beneath us is still unknown. Things like: new species, ecosystems and unknown occurances. Though, even the parts we can see are full of surprises. One that I find strange is how the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans seem to touch without mixing,leaving a sharp line that seems surreal. However, there is an interesting reason behind this. The two oceans are very different. Their waters don't have the same amount of salt with different temperatures. A good example of this phenomenon is the Gulf of Alaska, where glacier water meets the ocean. Glacier water is fresh and light while the ocean is dense with saltwater.
