Entry #8 Cinnabun
I remember coming home after a rough day at school and not expecting much to change. As I walk into my house, my sister brings this tiny, fluffy creature that I honestly had a hard time distinguishing what it was. I was caught off guard and thought it was another one of her jokes, but as she put her in my arms I instantly fell in love. Something that made the moment surreal was knowing my mom as someone who never liked pets so it almost seemed to good to be true.
We named her Cinnabun (becuase she looks exactly like a cinnamon roll), but to be honest, we rarely ever call her by name. She probably has ten different nicknames and somehow answers to all of them. From the beginning she made it known she was going to run the house. She now has my mom wrapped around her sneaky little paws. She loves sneaking in our flower pots and I always find her sitting in them munching on anything that is green. Thats one of the reasons why we gave up having a proper garden (the only reason). She even figured out how to sneak bread from the pantry, so now we have to keep evrything bunny proofed because if it is edible she will find it. She is a handful for sure, but honestly I don't know how I would have made it through these past years without her. We kind of balance each other out. She is a pray animal so shes always on alert and gets scared easily, so she runs to me for comfort. Ironically she does the same for me. We both learned to show up for eachother in our own ways where we became eachothers support system. She is more than just a pet, she is part of my everyday life adn even though she bit all my cords in half, I wouldn't trade her for anything.
